St. Eulogius of Córdoba
A learned priest of Muslim-ruled Córdoba who encouraged and chronicled the Christians martyred there, and was himself beheaded for sheltering a convert.
He wrote the history of his city's persecuted Christians while it was still happening — then joined their number, executed for protecting a young convert.
